BUCS 4s and 8s Head was held over the weekend of the 26th of February 2017. This is a highly anticipated race for university rowing teams as it is a chance to compete against other universities and gain BUCS points for your university. This year saw one of USBC’s biggest turn outs with 8 crews entered in MB4+, MC4-, M.int.8+, WB4x, WB8+, WC4x, and W.Int.4x. Unfortunately, the beginner events were cancelled due to poor weather conditions, however the following boats did compete:
MC4- came 4th out of 9 entries
W.Lwt.4x came 6th out of 6 entries
MInt.8+ came 11th out of 32 entries
WC4x came 5th out of 6 entries
W.Int.4x (A) came 11th out of 17 entries
W.Int.4x (B) came 15th out of 17 entries
